The Basics
The march takes place Saturday, September 12, 2020, regardless of weather, but mindful of public health guidelines. There is no rain backup date for the march, but if health guidelines do not permit a physical march on this date, we will hold a virtual march. If it is live, select your dress and prepare your march décor with the weather forecast in mind. Please be sure to bring your own water, sunscreen, and hats as needed.
Lineup begins 9:00 a.m. and the march begins at 10:30 a.m.
Participants must enter staging area from West Broad Street and lineup according to instructions for numbered spaces, which will be provided by Monday, September 7. The .75-mile march route will take participants down West Main Street and north on Madison Street past the National Susan B. Anthony Museum & House.
Marchers will disperse in Susan B. Anthony Square Park.
Before the march
- Staging area number assignments and detailed route information will be sent to each Applicant Organization/group/club/team’s Primary Contact via email by Wednesday, September 9. The Primary Contacts are responsible for sharing this information with their parade Participants. All Participants (or designated group leaders) must check in with the Parade Marshals at the staging area along West Broad Street. Do not come to the staging area before 8:30 a.m. to allow the march Volunteers to set up the staging area without distractions.
- As your marching unit reaches the intersection of Main and Washington, drivers will be directed to fall into line with their unit. Extreme caution is needed to do this safely.
- Participants must march in their assigned sequence location. If you are decorating your entry at the staging area, remember to bring your own materials. You are responsible for all items that you brought with you and you must take them with you when you step off. Bring bags to recycle and/or dispose of your own waste.

To keep the march safe for all, you are encouraged to observe all laws, watch for Police and Marshals’ direction at all times, be observant of what is going on ahead of you, and be aware of what spectators are doing.
